- U.S, Census 1930 Texas, Nueces, Justice Precinct #1, ED 178-11, pg 3-B.
Henry and Anna Lee Breeden were living next door to Wm. W. Ballard. She is shown as 20 years and Charles Henry Breeden as 30 years. Both born in Mississippi, states she was 17 when first married and he was 22. My birth certificate indicates that her name is either Annie Lee ,but somewhere in her life she said her name Anna Lee. He brothers and sisters and mother all called her Annie Lee. She was baptized Annie Lee Ballard per the old Family Group Sheets that I have in my possession. She filled them out indicating that her name was Annie L. McClendon (Her second marriage). The 1920 Census, Marion County, Mississippi list her name to be Annie Lee, she was shown as 10 years of age in that census, which would be correct. Others on that census were her parents Wash & Amazon Ballard, William (Pete), Haywood, Annie Lee, Olive May, Eva Ray and Thelma. This information pretty much proves my belief that her name was Annie Lee. One other document that shows her name as Annie Lee, is my birth certificate.
2005 Mother was residing at Williamsburg Assisted Living Residence, Logan, Cache, Utah. Her daughter, Velma Pearl and her Husband Jim have a home in Logan, Utah. after Amos died, she lived with Charles and Sally, Velma and Jim and for short times with Judy Gutormson and Randy Breeden, both who lived in Texas.
